Tessa Posthuma de Boer studied photography at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam. After graduating in 1993, she started working as a portrait photographer.
Her portraits have appeared in many different newspapers and magazines, including De Volkskrant, Ajax Magazine, FD, National Geographic, VPRO Gids, Psychologie Magazine, etc. A large number of advertising campaigns (for, among others, the tax authorities, Rabobank, Fiat, Postbank, Vodafone, PostNL) can be found on her name. Tessa also often works for the business community, she has photographed for Akzo Nobel, Staatsbosheer, KWF Kankerbestrijding, Intertrust, VU Medical Center, Audi and KPN. She makes many author portraits commissioned by publishers, including Van Oorschot, de Bezige Bij, Ambo Anthos and Nieuw Amsterdam.
Tessa's autonomous work is regularly exhibited in The Netherlands and abroad.
The photo that Tessa is selling at Paper Pictures is one of a series of still lifes that she has been working on in recent months.
