Paper Pictures 2023 is an exclusive temporary online photo print sale
from 1 – 31 October 2023. This year's theme is Empathy.
42 Dutch photographers provide 1 photo each. Each photographer individually choses the pricing, the paper, the formats and the editions. All photo prints are shipped with a numbered certificate of authenticity, digitally signed by the photographer.
We ship worldwide.
With every photo print sold we donate €10 to the Dutch Red Cross
ABOUT PAPER PICTURES
SPECIAL EDITIONS
42 Dutch photographers provide 1 photo each. Each photographer individually choses the printing method, the paper, the formats, the edition and the price. All photo prints are shipped with a numbered certificate of authenticity, signed by the photographer.
THEME 2023: EMPATHY
This year Paper Pictures has a theme: 'Empathy'. The ability to understand another person's thoughts and feelings in a situation from their point of view, rather than your own.
A theme that may feel extra relevant and urgent in 2023.
All participating photographers submitted a photo that depicts the theme 'Empathy', in various forms and shapes. Each in his or her own personal way. By depicting a gesture of empathy, or a lack thereof.
FINE ART PRINTING & FINISHING
The photo prints are printed by fine art printing & finishing specialist FotoLab KieKie, based in Amsterdam. Fotolab Kiekie is a Hahnemühle Official Certified Fine Art Print Studio.
WORLDWIDE SHIPPING
Orders are shipped worldwide, at standard rates. It is also possible to pick up the photo prints at Fotolab Kiekie.
PARTICIPATION
All photographers are approached by Paper Pictures. Participation is therefore by invitation only.
THE DUTCH RED CROSS
For every photo sold, Paper Pictures donates €10 to Red Cross Netherlands. The Red Cross helps those who are most vulnerable during armed conflicts, disasters and other emergencies. Some photographers also individually donate a certain amount per sold photoprint, on top of Paper Pictures' €10.
PAPER PICTURES
Paper Pictures is an initiative by photographer and curator Caspar Claasen, in collaboration with Fotolab Kiekie. This new, exclusive print sale will be held yearly, every October, with a new collection. This is the second edition.
Paper Pictures is open from 1st to 31st October 2023.
