Monique Goossens is a conceptual artist and autonomous photographer. She is inspired by nature, unusual materials and tactility. She is always looking for contrasts and alienation. Her work is aesthetically pleasing and edgy.
Monique Goossens studied at Artemis Academy in Amsterdam, where she graduated cum laude in 2006. She continued her studies at the Design Academy in Eindhoven. After this she developed an interest in photography.
Her work has been featured in exhibitions at the Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum New York, Centraal Museum Utrecht Netherlands, Pulchri Studio The Hague, PLADS artspace Denmark and others. Her work has been published in Het Parool, NRC, Wired UK, Type Player, Huffington Post, Trendland, Bite Me Magazine, Page-online, Premiere Vision, Infringe Magazine, Trendhunter, Artwort, Parnassusmagazine, Yatzer, Visual News, Designboom, among others.
